Music is the medicine of the mind
It's no secret that there are many positive aspects to learning a string instrument (such as Violin, Viola, and Cello). In addition to learning for oneself there are opportunities available to play in school and community orchestras & ensembles. Stringed instruments have a beautiful tone from the higher and cheerful violin to the deep and rich cello.
In order to play a string instrument, multi-tasking and hand coordination are a necessity. Plus it develops self discipline and it encourages patience.
Lessons include important techniques such as tuning, posture, fingering, pitch, plucking, bowing, pizzicato, and of course much more. Our string teachers are highly qualified teaching the fundamentals of Classical music while incorporating fun music from pop culture.
There are ensemble opportunities at the studio for string students such as the Folk group, Fiddlin' Fenzy and the classical group, No Fret String Project.
