Voice & Piano Master Instructor
Frances T. received her Master’s degree in Voice Performance/Pedagogy from ASU in May 2016 and her Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Performance in May 2008 from Belmont University in Nashville. She has been teaching privately for the past six years, catering to a wide variety of ages and interests. While Musical Theater is her passion, and Classical music her core strength, she appreciates a wide range of musical styles, and her teaching reflects her opinion that correct technique knows no style boundaries. During her studies at ASU she performed in the Lyric Opera Theatre production of Owen Wingrave as “Kate” and more recently as the title role in The Drowsy Chaperone for which she received an AriZoni Nomination for Actress in a Major Role – Non-Contracted Musical. Before summer she joined the female quartet, Killarney Fair, which morphed into a mixed sextet that performs wherever they can find opportunities in the valley. Having studied piano from the time she was eight, she spent the years since then accompanying friends, groups, performances, and various church choirs. Music has defined her life since she was very young, and it has been her passion since then. She found her calling in teaching when she realized that it would allow her to share that passion with others. Frances has been a member of Music Makers since fall, 2017.
