Violin, Viola, Cello & Early Piano Teacher
Mr. Brian is a Arizona native and has been playing the Violin for 18 years and teaching privately since 2010. Brian has his Bachelor of Music Education from ASU. In addition to working at MMW he is a music teacher for the Mesa School District. A student of Dr. Danwen Jiang and private student of former Phoenix Symphony first violinist, Mrs. Lenore Wilkison. Throughout the years Brian has served as Concertmaster and been apart of various orchestral groups such as Paradise Valley High School String Orchestra, Mesa Community College Symphony, Phoenix Youth Symphony, North Valley Chamber Orchestra, North Central Regional Orchestra, Harding University Symphony and String quartet. Brian is one of the recent founders and serves as the first violinist/manager of the 21st Street String Quartet. In the past Brian has studied with Mrs. Doreen Press, Mrs. Chelain Stocker, Dr. Patricia Cox, and Mr. Long-long Kang. Brian also plays and can teach the viola and cello as well. Every fall brian is counselor/strings coach for the Phoenix Youth Symphony String Orchestra Retreat. In the future he hopes to be teaching music theory, conducting/orchestral studies at the University level. Some of his favorite composers are John Williams, Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, Antonin Dvorak, Felix Mendelssohn, Ludwig Von Beethoven, and Pytor llyich Tchaikovsky. Brian loves to perform orchestral music and teach a variety of orchestral music. Brian also believes that the power of music is something for all to obtain and hopes to share the fundamentals and benefits of music. Brian has been teaching at MMW since summer, 2014.
Brian teaches privately and is open to having new intermediate or advanced students joining his amazing string group.
Tuition is based on a yearly amount and is payable in equal monthly installments. Tuition listed below will be pro-rated if you start mid month. There is a $35.00 Registration Fee for new students. Thank you.
